Systematic Theology: Manual of Christian Doctrine - Berkhof 000

This is an introduction to what I hope to be a "book study" series on Louis Berkhof's Manual of Christian Doctrine. It will focus more of the points of the book as opposed to the book itself. At the time of this entry, I have recently started this book and would like to use it for a small group/discipleship study.

Essentially, this book is one of many "Systematic Theology" titles; however, it was initially written for the "high school" and college student in the early 1900s. The author mentions (in the preface) that after his "Systematic Theology" work was published, he was asked to compose such a work and the result was this "brief manual" (241 pages).

Noting that he has a "Systematic Theology" work, I may end up switching to that title (1040 pages, maybe not...)

Ideally, I will focus on the headings/subheadings of each section and primarily discuss the scripture. Basically, this will be my online notebook for this study; because there can't possibly be anything new I could add to this thorough work.
